We are pleased to announce that e-Tech Racing, the Formula Student team from UPC EEBE in Barcelona, has joined forces with Eurocircuits for the 2022/23 season. As a team that specialises in developing high-performance electric vehicles, we are excited to collaborate with Eurocircuits, a leading PCB manufacturer that specialises in designing and manufacturing high-quality, reliable PCBs for a variety of industries, including automotive and electronics.
About e-Tech Racing
Founded in 2013, e-Tech Racing has been building electric vehicles for nearly a decade. Over the years, we have gained invaluable experience and expertise, competing in various Formula Student competitions across Europe. Our goal is to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology and bring it closer to real life, creating a local collaboration network with companies, institutions, vocational training centres and schools.
This year, we are proud to be unveiling our eighth prototype, which we are confident will showcase the very best in electric vehicle technology. We are also expanding our team and welcoming new members who will help us develop the control electronics department. This, combined with the support of Eurocircuits, will help us bring our vision to life.
With the help of Eurocircuits, we are looking to take our vehicle development to the next level. We are excited to leverage their expertise in PCB design and manufacturing to help us develop high-performance, reliable electric vehicles that meet the demands of modern automotive industry.
Collaboration with Eurocircuits
We are excited to share some of the PCBs that we have developed and had manufactured by Eurocircuits. These are crucial components in the electrical system of our vehicle and help to ensure its safety and performance.
BSPD (Brake System Plausibility Device)
The BSPD (Brake System Plausibility Device) is an essential part of our vehicle’s shutdown system. It monitors the signals from the brake pedal and the power output of the battery to ensure that the driver is not inadvertently pressing both pedals at the same time, which could result in a dangerous situation. The BSPD is designed to detect any such scenario and disconnect the battery pack to prevent the vehicle from moving.

BMS Slaves
Another critical component of the e-Tech Racing car is the BMS (Battery Management System) Slaves. The BMS Slaves monitor the voltage and temperature of the battery cells to ensure that the battery is operating correctly, and that the car can perform optimally. The BMS Slaves PCBs developed by e-Tech Racing connect the BMS to the battery cells, providing accurate and reliable monitoring of the battery’s performance.

Looking Ahead
As we continue to work towards developing our electric vehicle, we are confident that our collaboration with Eurocircuits will help us achieve our goals. We are excited to work with them on future PCB designs and manufacturing, leveraging their expertise to develop reliable, high-performance electric vehicles that meet the demands of modern automotive industry.
